Authentication

Two authentication modes are supported. Zeroarc recommends using Windows Authentication mode for self-hosted environments with Active Directory and Stand Alone mode for cloud hosting.

Windows Authentication Mode

Candid can be configured to use Windows Authentication when installed inside your company’s network. Users are automatically authenticated when they access Candid and never have to provide a username and password.

Stand Alone Mode

Candid can also be configured to manage user accounts and passwords in Stand Alone mode. When operating in this mode, Candid will manage the accounts and passwords for reach user. Users will be required to entire their username and password when accessing Candid.

How to login in Stand Alone mode

  1. Open browser and navigate to the Candid home page. A login screen will be displayed.
  2. Enter your username and password to login to Candid.

Updating your password

  1. Log in to Candid.
  2. Click your name at the top left of the page to open the Account Details page.
  3. Click Change your password under the Manage My Account section on the right side of the page.
  4. Fill out the form and click Change Password.

Resetting a forgotten password in Stand Alone mode

  1. Click Forgot your password? to start the reset process.
  2. A form will open, enter your email address and click Email link.
  3. Open you email inbox and look for an email from candid.
  4. Click the here link or copy and paste the link address into a new browser window.
  5. The create new password form will open. Enter a new password and click Next.
  6. The Candid login page will open, enter your username and password to login to Candid.

Password Complexity Requirements

Passwords must be at least six characters long, contain one number, and one special character.
