We're pleased to announce the availability of our 3rd quarter release of Candid, version 2.12. This release brings some major enhancements as well as performance improvements that we are excited to share with you.

Review System Workflow Flexibility

The workflow has been made more flexible. Statisticians can now reopen closed review periods, handle comments during ongoing reviews, and complete reviews without needing to adjudicate every comment.

Embedded Comment Markup for Adjudication and Issues

Reviewer comments and their related markup are now embedded directly in the Review Tool adjudication wizard. This allows statisticians to avoid having to switch back and forth between the Review Tool and the Adjudication Tool. Similar functionality has been added to the issues log: any time a reviewer comment results in an issue, the issue details page will display the source of the comment and the TFL with the related markup.

Issues File Attachments, Screenshots, and Assignments

Issues now supports screenshots and file attachments. Screenshots and files can be pasted directly into an issue comment. Images will be displayed inline as part of the issue history. Issues can also be assigned to team members to help organize your team's work.

Improved Process for Canceled TFLs and Datasets

Candid has long supported canceling TFLs and datasets to remove them from the active index without losing their history. However, un-canceling them was a bit cumbersome and required sending them back to programming. Now, in v2.12, you can cancel and un-cancel TFLs and datasets without having to repeat any workflow steps. Along with this change, we have added a wizard to perform actions in quickly and easily in bulk. Canceled TFLs and datasets are now excluded from the summary graphs on the analysis page.

Limited Access for CROs

A common request from our customers was to create a way to let their CROs work directly in Candid without having access to all the analysis data. Candid now supports these limited accounts. When granted access to a specific analysis, CRO users will be able to access only the issues area for that analysis. This enables real time collaboration between sponsors and CROs while keeping tight constraints on access sponsor data.

Coming Soon

There are many additional improvements and fixes in this release, such as improved performance for large teams and tighter integration between issues and Quick View. Our team will be reaching out to customers to preview the new features and schedule upgrades in the coming weeks. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
